Around the PCL BLUE DIVISION with GH3

Posted Saturday, September 13, 2008 by GH3rd
The Blue Division of the PCL is already heating up in the early stages of the soccer season. In the Blue Division, only two teams will qualify for post-season play. Archbishop Wood, Lansdale Catholic and Archbishop Carroll have started out perfectly. Archbishop Wood  is 4-0 in league play(4-0-1 overall) with a combined scoring difference of 31 goals scored and one goal allowed. Leo Malara of the  N-G Saints has scored the only goal against Wood this season. Way to go, Leo. Lansdale Catholic (newcomers to the PCL this season) have started impressively with a 4-0 record in league play while scoring 15 goals and allowing one goal. Right behind Wood and Carroll is Archbishop Carroll posting a 3-0 record with wins over West Catholic, Cardinal Dougherty and Neumann- Goretti. AC has scored 20 goals and has also allowed only one goal. Again, the N-G Saints have scored the only goal of the season against AC. Congrats to Nicky Comito for the Saints goal. West Catholic is 0-3-1 in division play with losses to Carroll, Kennedy-Kenrick and Wood and a tie with the N-G Saints. The Neumann Goretti Saints are 0-2-1 in division play with losses to division leaders Wood and Carroll and a tie with West Catholic. Potentially big match-ups when LC vs AC, LC vs AW and AW vs AC. Cardinal Dougherty stands at 0-2 with losses to Lansdale Catholic and Archbishop Carrol.  Conwell-Egan is a 0-1 losing to Lansdale Catholic. Kennedy-Kenrick is 1-2 with a win over West Catholic and lossses to AW and LC. Bishop McDevitt is 0-2 with losses to AW and LC.
