The 2010 Philadelphia Catholic League Soccer picture will be different. According to reports, Kennedy-Kenrick will no longer be part of the PCL as they are closing their school and becoming part of a new league at their new school St Pius X. Also, the Archdiocese pf Philadelphia has announced the closing of Northeast Catholic and Cardinal Dougherty due to declining enrollments.  This will leave 8 Catholic High Schools in Philadelphia. Currently the PCL Red Divsion consists of North Catholic, Father Judge, Archbishop Ryan, Roman Catholic, Monsignor Bonner, La Salle, Cardinal O'Hara, and St Joseph's Prep. With the loss of North Catholic they'll be at 7 teams. The Blue Division currently has 9 teams consisting of Neumann-Goretti, Archbishop Wood, Archbishop Carroll, Lansdale Catholic, West Catholic, Bishop McDevitt, Cardinal Dougherty, Kennedy-Kenrick and Conwell Egan. With the loss of Cardinal Dougherty and Kennedy-Kenrick, the division will only have 7 teams. It will be interesting to see what the schedules will be.
